are you RECording?

This what Minnie & I did yesterday:

hitRECord submission

In hopes of joining "Regular Joe" (as in Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and a gaggle of collaborative filmmakers, who've made magic on the hitRECord site, at their live presentation here in NYC. If it doesn't happen, ain't no thang cuz MAKING our video was so much fun, and I will definitely be participating (making RECords!) in the future.

And this is what Minnie and I will be doing tomorrow:

Documentary shoot with Douglas Adesko

...who is cool enough to bring his project up north to Spanish Harlem.

S'all for now!

armour love

Hallo out there in bloggy land! I'm gonna go on posting Israel pictures because 1. they're rad, 2. they remind me that I hauled my exhausted butt out of bed and up mountains for 12 days for good reasons and 3. I think they make me look sort of mighty, despite bizarre fashion choices.

I'm up in the home-ville of upstate NY for a hot minute. My parentals are upstairs, sleeping peaceful. Tonight my stepmom gave me this gorgeous white eyelet dress that she never wore, and they both gave me TONS of support for how I'm running my life. Dad and her could not possibly be more gung-ho-positive that I am doing exactly the right thing, and have got my shtuff together. Which is funny, coz a lot of the time, I feel like I am climbing the most futile, crumbly mountain. I lucked out in the parental department.

Got a call from scam-a-lam Michael Zanuck agency today; that was exciting!

Must keep swimming, must keep swimming...

Alright, so Israel is old news. So is this photo of Rusty and I at an event for the American Folk Art Museum (for which I did makeup for some of my pole dancer pals to perform in), back in early June. The late spring/early summer was a good 'un, but now I'm getting that summertime ICK that happens if you stay in NYC for the bulk of it. It's hot, it's sticky, it's sloooowww.

I don't particularly fancy being on vacation. I like a lot of work; drowning in it, preferably!

There's been some happenings - some wild evenings out with the gang I went to Israel with (Bamba), some short plays and long plays begun (some even finished) and submitted to assorted festivals, some gigs with White Rabbit & his band, some old furniture reupholstered...

No, really, it's that dead up in here.

On the horizon, some madness: gonna be working 'round the clock for ESPN during the US Open, along with Daisy D., and MOVING to Astoria at the same time. Gah! Plans are also solidifying for November & December in Los Angeles.

Anyway, check the twitter for the day-to-day. Foxfire & I have got a show in NYMF this year, which is badass...details soon.

Love
